what big eyes you've got Mr Kipper!...

Just one more of Kipper and Muffin in the box! He's filling out nicely now and is enjoying his food and a good bit of brushing and stroking!! His fur is almost as soft as Muffin's now!!! :o)

Muffin in love (again!)

This is Muffin and Kipper this morning in a box they found on the kitchen table!! Kipper is totally coming out of his shell now - helped considerably by Missy Muffin - who is on heat with a vengeance!! Poor Kipper - Muffin calls him, flirts with him, rolls on her back and a whole range of other unladylike come-ons!! Much to Kipper's bemusement as he can't really do anything to sort her problems out!!! Oh well - its made him feel very wanted and the two of them are now very much in love and are spending all their time together - I think the kittens are finally forgotten!

The last three kittens are still as much fun as ever :o) They are totally adorable characters with Muffin's easy going nature as well as her sense of mischief and I know they will make their new owners very happy :o) We'll miss them loads - but its such a relief to see Kipper and Muffin bonding so well cos we know they'll have each other for company from now on :o)

6 become 5....and then 6 again!!

Well, its been both a sad and a happy week in the Joyce household!!

On Friday, we drove our delightful Kisa down to London ready for her trip to her new family - we were all so sad to see her go but hope to have news of her with her new family! Kisa is an utter joy and we're sure she'll bring her new family fun and cuddles - with a touch of mischief! Byebye Kisa - we miss you already!!

Next week, our big boy Gunnar (Dave) is off to join his very excited new owner Catherine! He's a total foot monster and definitely has the look of his Dad......

Here he is again chilling on the sofa after having his injections etc - he wasn't bothered at all!!

Here is the superior Ylfa staying out of the way of the melee ;o) She's SOooooo grown up!! ;o)

Finally, a few photos of the kitten pile..... Muffin is still supermum and the kittens enjoy a little top up although they're eating hugely!!!

The title of this post refers to Kipper who came to live with us yesterday :o) He's a gorgeous boy but a touch shell shocked at the moment! He's ensconced in our en-suite bathroom whilst he adjusts to his new family - and then we'll introduce him to our cat family!! He's eating a bit today and is letting us make a little fuss of him and I'll try and get a picture or two later this week :o)

Bye for now!!

news from the nursery!

Here are our cutie gorgeous kittens :o)

Oskar looking stunning...

Spud and Oskar explore the cupboard!

Dave and friends enjoying their dinner...

Kisa and spud..

This kitten only sat briefly so I'm not sure but I think its Oskar!!..

Don't disturb our dinner!!

Let's explore!

Few stories from the nursery there!

The kittens are continuing to grow and thrive...

Ylfa is the most mature of the bunch - tho she loves pouncing on bare toes! her other obsesion is the basket that they play in and she loves to lay low in the bottom, wait for someone to come by then - bat! Paw round the head!!

Oskar and Spud and Dave play ENDLESSLY together - pouncing, batting, jumping, chasing, stalking, nipping and cuddling - utterly adorable

Kisa is a people person - usually to be found as near to any member of the family as she can get ;o) She loves the kids and is happy to be picked up and fussed :o)

Don't forget to check out their facebook site!!.....

enjoy!

life in the nursery continued....

v `09

heheheeee - the above was written by our cheeky scamp Oskar as he walked across the laptop!!

life in the nursery is still so much fun - the kittens are now sooooooo confident and capable - 2 of them were found climbing the stairs yesterday ;o)

Bit more on their personalities:

Kisa remains the most cuddly of all the kittens - she loves attention and purrs when you fuss her

Oskar and Spud are the playful duo - they're just a joy and delight to watch as they tumble, play fight and pounce around the house :o) I wish you could be here now watching kisa, oskar and spud leap on and off the sofa, up and down my leg and over my laptop keyboard ;o) they are delightful!!

Dave is now becoming more assertive - he's taken to rolling over for a tummy tickle when we come in ;o) He is soooo sweet natured and laid back!

Ylfa is the most mature and grown up of the kittens! Less likely to be found pouncing and play fighting - she watches from a distance and then almost "humphs" with disdain when the other kittens bounce around like crazy kittens! She is adorable and responsive - as long as you don't pounce around her ;o)

check out some more photos......

Introducing Gunnar

Gunnar (Dave) is our gentle giant. The biggest and most laid back of the litter - Where Spud is the last to sleep, Dave is the first! He's got stunning chunky legs and I think will develop more of his Dad's colouring than his Mum's. He should be a huge boy when he's finished growing - none of our kittens are small and Dave is considerably bigger than Ylfa and Pall Oskar who are next in size :o)

Introducing Pall Oskar

Our Oskar turned into a super model for these pictures! He was so much fun to photograph!! Oskar responds to well to our voices and I think will be as easy to train as his mum. Oskar is a big chunky boy with ear tips that seem to grow every day!

Introducing Lilil Kartafla

Our little Spud is the smallest of the litter but still a big, bold and beautiful girl! Spud has no fear - she climbs the highest, experiments first with all new experiences (the water bowl was a particularly funny one) and loves attention and play. When all her brothers and sisters are sleeping, she stays awake and pounces on their tails and then comes for cuddles. Her face is just beautiful, great eyes and a light patch on either side of her nose that gives her real definition.

introducing Ylfa

This is our beautiful big poly - Ylfa. Ylfa has stunning ear tips and a beautiful expression in her eyes. She reminds me very much of her Mum at the same age :o) All the kittens have gorgeous temperaments and Ylfa is curious, playful and clever!

introducing Kisa

This is our little Kisa - our cuddly teddy bear with stunning colouring and the most sweet and affectionate nature of the litter. Even if she's feeding, Kisa will jump up as soon as the door to the kitten nursery opens and come for fuss! She's a total foot monster and is just adorable through and through :o)

the kittens are growing well....

An update from the nursery - I've sent some individual pics to Gertrud so please check out their own galleries :o)

I've been away for a week on holiday and when I left, the kittens had finally just got out of their cage, all wobbly and uncoordinated and were staggering around the dining room. I returned yesterday and they are running, jumping, pouncing, climbing AND eating!! Oh yes, our kittens are now tucking into their Eagle Pack with their Mum and really only feed from her 2-3 times a day :o) We're working on house training them now too :o)

A bit about our kittens:
Litil Kartafla (Spud) is the smallest girl but still no titch - she weighed in today at 596g. Spud is THE MOST curious, she's always out first, when the others settle down for a sleep she pounces on them to wake them up. Trying to take photos of her is a nightmare cos she moves CONSTANTLY. She's a beautiful little girl though and extremely friendly.

Kisa (Kizzy) is the next biggest girl (632g today), straight foot and a total teddy bear! She's got chunky legs and a chunky body and she puts her head on one side to examine you carefully. Kizzy loves cuddles already and is the most likely to try to climb onto your lap - even at 5 weeks. I think she may be my favourite ;o) Her markings are also stunning - and she's a bit of a ginger nut with her beautiful rufus tones.

Ylfa (Elfie) is the biggest girl (638g today) and I think she looks a lot like the pictures of her Mum at the same age. Wide set big ears with lovely long ear tips and big poly front feet. Ylfa is more cautious than her sisters - but I think she's clever! She waits to see how much trouble they get into by climbing up speaker fronts (Kisa got stuck today!), playing with the water in the water bowl and attempting to eat cat litter and then decides whether or not to follow suit!!

Pall Oskar is the smaller of the two boys at 644g today. I think he's stunning! The boys tend to follow the girls at the moment but Oskar is so happy to have a bit of fuss and he is sooooo capable phsyically now - he's mastered the jump, pounce and run!

Gunnar (Dave!) is the biggest kitten at 665g and he's a stunner :o) I think he may end up being a real chip of his Daddy's block and he has his Dad's laid back nature too.

All 5 kittens are characterful, gorgeous markings and will make great additions to any household - fun, relaxed, curious and a joy to look at - check out their pics and enjoy :o)

Ylva and Kisa

Here are 2 of my gorgeous girls at 5 weeks old :o) Ylva (on the left) is our little poly and the spit of her Mum - check out the lynxy eartips and the huge poly feet :o) She's marginally heavier than her teddy bear sister Kisa (on the right). Kisa is (if I'm allowed to say this!) my favourite - she is SOooooo friendly, placid and curious. She's a more chunky kitten with a swagger in her walk and big chuncky legs and the most adorable face. Ylva is slightly more cautious but is enjoying her new found ability to pounce :o)

kittens at 3 weeks old

Here are a few random kitten shots! Can't tell you for sure which is which cos I just snapped them this evening in their hidey hole :o) They're all getting so confident now and 3 of them are just about able to get in and out of their snug! 1 of them has started purring and they're all playing with each other and every day getting stonger and steadier on their feet - I'm sure it won't be long before I wish they weren't as strong and steady on their feet ;o)

kittens and friends

Caitlin and Izzy loved their first cuddle with the kittens when they were 9 days old. At 13 days old, the kittens look so big against their mum - compare with the new kitten shot where there was a lot of space for them to get a drink and now they have to squish! The last picture is our little Oscar - gorgeous boy ;o)

kittens growing well

Well here they are between 9 and 16 days old :o) All 5 kittens continuing to thrive and Muffin is still supermum and seeming to enjoy the experience! We are pretty certain as we can be that we've got 2 boys and 3 girls - one poly and our biggest boy really is going to be a gorgeous big cat!

Muffin babies

Hope you liked the pictures of the little kittens aged 2 days :o) SOOOooooo cute!!! Muffin is a fantastic Mum and the kittens are all growing stronger and bigger by the day - they're starting to crawl rather than belly shuffle today :o) Very exciting! This picture of 5 satisfied and sleepy kittens is now my screensaver - Muffin came out for some food and some fuss and I managed to snap this adorable shot :o) Enjoy!
