Assam is modelling for Ken and Helmi Flick

Helmi is one of, if not the best-known photographer of cats. She really manages to capture a cat's essence and I've seen some stunning photos that she has taken, particularly of Pixie Bobs.

Maranda has asked Helmi to take some photos of Assam. Here is a post on another blog about this. The blog is authored by a gentlemen from London who happened to be visiting and assisting Helmi and Ken at the Texas show, where Assam made her debut:

4 Finals and a Best Kitten award for Assam!

Assam T attended her first show in the US this past weekend. Apparently, she was being a little star and woed all the judges. Her happy and cheerful temperament, as well as her strong type assured a successful start to her career. Not many European Pixie Bobs make it to the US shows, so this is a fantastic representation of everything that we are doing over here in Europe.

Congratulations, Maranda, and thank you for seeing her potential!

Sweet Assam this morning.

They were all fighting for the valerian root. Jenkins managed to assert exclusive rights over it, so the others were left looking disappointed.
 

Wild face of Assam at 4 months old

Assam has caught up with herself over the last 5 weeks. Her muzzle sits smack bang on her face and has a gorgeous balance to it. Her eyes, although not quite as flat as they could be, have something very wild about them and her brow reinforces that bobcat look. Gorgeous eartips and perfect tail. She's also quite a cuddle bug. Flops in your arms when you pick her up and purrs spontaneously when you come into sight. Gorgeous!

Definitely a show girl with a fantastic muzzle

I can't quite see what this girl doesn't have. The eye shape is better than in the photo and her eartips are nice and long, even though she is short-haired.
 
 
 
 

Tikki's girl at 5 and a half weeks - very long eartips.

Her face is beginning to show character and looking great. You can't see it in the photos, but she'll have loooong eartips, even though she is a short-haired PB. This girl is fabulous.
