Latest of Shenona

I really think Shenona looks like Jenkins in these 2 pics.

Her Winter Coat is beginning to return now, just in time for the coming show.

Shenona has retained her wonderful spotting even with her longhair coat it is clearly visable

I hope Shenona will gain additional titles in her next show...I cant wait to have kittens with this wonderful girl from Gertrud. Keep the Ansonroad legacy going into future generations. Show Results and Kitten news will be posted on the TOTALLY COASTAL Blog spot.

Is that you Shenona?

Is that Shenona or a Bobcat?

Lynx tips Galore

Her Wins!

Shenona or Bobcat!

I havent posted any photos here for a while, so thought it was about time I did.

Shenona is Flourishing and those Lynx tips just keep on growing. Her coat is just amazing now, it just has that bobcat look about it now... Although Stunning before, it wasn't quite rugged looking enough.
Shenona was mated to my boy Mystery Caller a short while ago.. I wasn't sure if he would be right for my girl.. but Gertrud took away my doubts. Whether the mating succeeded first time, or on another later on down the line. I hope she passes these wonderful looks and fantastic temprement on to her babies.

Show Queen...Oh YES!!

Well, Shenona had her Debut Show over the weekend... and boy did she prove herself!
A bit of a Whirlwind Tour Six Rings in 1 Day.. but it was enough for her to show all what she had to offer.
Shenona got First Ribbons in both Colour and Division in 5 of the 6 rings, and Second Ribbons in Colour and Division in the remaining one.
Not only that, she was awarded Best of Breed by 1 judge, and also selected for 2 finals out of the 6 rings she competed in.
The Finals were indeed the icing on the cake, she placed nineth in both the BEST CAT SPECIALITY CLASS (Longhair) and the BEST CAT ALL BREED CLASS.
She has double the number of points required for her CHAMPION title already, and so only 1 more final is required for her to claim a GRAND CHAMPION title.
I now hope to get a LATE entry in the remaining 2 shows of the year, as she has a very good chance of getting higher in the Championships...
So what an amazing start to her Show Career. She had a little stage fright at first, but by the end of the day you'd think she had been doing it all her life..and was a complete Natural.

WELL DONE SHENONA, YOU TRULY ARE A SHINGING STAR!!!

Looking Wilder and Getting Bolder

Well here is the Latest Entry for Shenonas Blog. I have been promising Gertrud some up to date pictures of Shenona for a while now.

But she is so difficult to take a picture of. Not because it's difficult to make her look good, but simply because she doesnt stay still long enough for a photo to come out clear. Here are my attempts to try and show of her truly fantastic appearance. I have to say I have again not done her any justice.

She really looks like her Dad, and often looks just like Jenkins...

Although not sure I have managed to capture her wild beauty in these snaps.

Shenona will be entered into the next TICA show, so I am hoping the Judges see the same in her as I do. She is getting wilder and bolder as each day passes, and of course she has grown considerably from the small kitten I collected back in October 08.

She loves spending her time outdoors more than in these days... Even when its cold you'll find her watching the world go by. She was fasinated by the recent snow we had.. watching the flurries fall to the ground and pawing at them. I had to pick her up and bring her inside when it started to get dark, much to her protest...

But as soon as her dinner was down she soon forgot about it. She curled up with the other cats and relaxed for a while.. but then as usual she's up and playing again and running to me with a mouse toy to play a fetch game.... and then she'll happily occupy herself with my moggies and Jack Russells with a bit of pamper time.

Anyway fingers crossed for the March show... and watch this space.

These Photos were taken around 4 weeks ago ..... and she has already improved further...

I will take some photos again around February time... in time for Valentines Day, so all those potential Suitors out there can start looking at this Girls Outstanding Good Looks.

My Cat Tent

I think I'll have this One.

Keep still Shenona

100 Attempts

Well this is my latest blog of Shenona, AKA Pumpkin. She is as fast a lightening, very clever and a little Rascal.

I have had 100 attempts at taking photos, but she never stays still long enough to get any good poses. The majority of the pictures were of Bums, Legs, Extreme close-ups of Noses, or just a blurr as she darts in front of the camera. Here are the snaps that are reasonable. She looks great in them, even though they are not as good as Gertruds, but then she has a lot of experienced.

She loves heights and her favourite place is the top level of my 6ft Cat-tree. However as soon as I walk into the room, she jumps off it quicker than you can say Pixie-Bob.. and she's rubbing around my legs and chattering away to me.

She has now fully accomplished the cat flap, and flies in and out playing with Annabelle and Jemima.

The 2 small dogs keep clear when the cats are playing as they tried to join in once, and were worn out after about 10mins of running around. Now they just watch from the side lines.

Shenona has arrived and is Settling In

Well Shenona, has finally arrived in her new home (with me). It's been a long time coming, but boy was she worth it.

The journey to my house went without a hitch. From London to the Kent Coast using the Underground and S.E. Trains went surprisingly well. She took it in her stride, curled up and relaxed (the whole way) and left me to do the rushing around and panicking.

Shenona's new home by the Coast seems to be to her liking. She has already acquainted herself with my 2 moggies and 2 small Jack Russell's, and trying to get her head around the cat flap access to the garden run.

I have to say, I have never owned a cat with a personality quite like hers. She purrs constantly, and is Bolder and Brighter than any kitten/cat I have ever had before. Within 2 days she has found her way around my house, and follows me from room to room having a conversation on the way. Her little growls, squeaks and chirps are comical.

I will be very proud to be showing her at the first opportunity, and I am sure she will do very well.
I cannot resist passing on her fantastic traits to future pixie-bobs lines, and will be looking for an outstanding eligible suitor for when she grown-up.

Watch this space!

Shenona has moved to her new home today!

Shenona sensed that something was up! Hopefully though, she'll settle in quickly at Kelly's pad. Shenona will embark on a her show career soon, and then, when she is a bit older, will also have kittens. Good luck, Kelly!

Shenona definitely the boss around the house

They cause complete havoc during their Happy Hour and spill anything in their path when racing and tumbling from one end of the flat to the other!

Shenona at 10 weeks. Wild look of her dad.

I've not yet discovered what's wrong with this girl. She has the look of her father topped with a sweet sweet temperament.
