Business as usual for Rascal in the snow

Nothing has changed - Rascal is still a master at chilling out. Outside though, he looks wild in the snow! The colder weather means that their coats are wonderfully plush and thick and make them look like round, fluffy barrels.

Bucky having a lovein with Philippa

Rascal's blog is rapidly developing into a blog for our latest news from Paradise. As mentioned earlier, Bucky is liberal with her affections, although she did definitely prefer Philippa to most other people...

Rascal and Bucky sporting their winter coats

Well, it's October now and they've had some cooler nights down here. Rascal and Bucky now have their thick, stand out winter coat. Rascal has put on some weight and diligently patrols his domain. He hunts lots and does eat his prey. Bucky sticks to snacking on spiders, flies and other insects. Both look extremely happy, but were definitely pleased to see me! Bucky was always the obvious one to let go of my more slowly, but she now has half of Chalabre at her beck and call. It's Rascal who quietly follows me around, sneaks into my bedroom and wines when I'm going out the back gate! Fabulous, fabulous Rascal.

And check the spots on his front legs!

Pixie Bobs in my garden - there is nothing more decorative

Not only do they look good, but they are also gorgeous company. In retirement, Rascal and Bucky are blooming.

Rascal and Bucky making my garden look fantastic

Don't they look gorgeous in the outdoors! Even the locals commented that there was something quite different about these cats. And the Southern French are not known for being sentimental about their felines!

Update from Paradise

Whenever, wherever we see Rascal, he slouches around. He took no time at all to settle in, once he worked out the boundaries of his new domain. Rascal has now retired and lives in the South of France. I think it agrees with him.

Rascal in the urban jungle!

I was making coffee this morning, and Rascal spotted me! He was desperate to get across that gap into my kitchen window. Needless to say, that window is now closed and destined off-limits. It breaks my heart to Rascal living in the tree tops. We live on the third floor and they don't have outside access. Rascal is a runner. He loves chasing from one end of the flat to the other. But ideally, he'd like to sprint across an entire field. I'm going to find a really good pet home for Rascal, our absolute favourite, after the summer.

You've seen the video, you've seen the photos - now get one of his kittens!

Rascal really is stunning and he throws kittens with fantastic eyes, tall legs and great tails! And above all, they all seem to have inherited his lovely, lovely temperament!

Photos of Rascal when he first arrived.

Rascal is the most chilled out, but active cat I've met! He's got the sway of a large cat and the wild looking, white tummy is really something special.
